Despite a late afternoon shower, people stuck it out or returned to Candlewood Town Park Tuesday.
Mo Andrews, Angelica Deleon and Shamiya Andrews braved the shower, but are really looking forward to Saturday's fireworks.
"I always come. It's a huge crowd," Mo Andrews says. "It's no trouble. We come as a family."
Danbury's City fireworks will take place in the water in front of Candlewood Town Park at nightfall this Saturday, June 29. That should be about 9 p.m.
The Danbury Fair Mall will host its fireworks display Wednesday, July 3, at nightfall.
