Man Flashed Handgun, Demanded Cash From Victim In Robbery Attempt: Danbury Police
Two men were arrested after the victim ran to a nearby bar and called police.

DANBURY, CT — Two city men were arrested after police say they tried to rob a man near the Cowboy Bar on Wildman Street Tuesday night. Police said they were called by a victim who said two men drove up to him as he was walking, produced a handgun, and demanded cash from him.
Jason Bonadio, 33, and Julio Irizarry, 46, were later arrested at their home on Terrace Place.

The victim told police he was walking in the area when the two men stopped next to him and asked him if he was from the area. When he told them no, the passenger in the car produced a handgun and demanded cash.
Police said when he saw the handgun, he ran around the corner to the bar to call police. Bonadio and Irizarry were arrested based on the descriptions given by the victim.

Bonadio was charged with interfering, breach of peace and conspiracy to commit robbery. He was held on a $25,000 bond. Irizarry was charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery, breach of peace and interfering. He was held on a $250,000 bond.
