Man Seriously Injured in Danbury Motorcycle Crash

Danbury Police are seeking the public's help after a motorcycle versus car crash on Oct. 8, 2016.

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Police said that they received a call for a serious motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in the area of 30 Clapboard Ridge Rd on Oct. 8, 2016 at approximately 4:04 p.m.

Police said that Oberdan Magalhaes 29, of Danbury was operating his 2006 Yamaha YZFR6L southbound on Clapboard Ridge Rd. As Magalhaes approached 30 Clapboard Ridge Berno Santos Damata Jr. 28, also of Danbury, was traveling northbound on Clapboard Ridge Rd. operating a 2016 Nissan Altima when he attempted to turn left into the driveway of 30 Clapboard Ridge Road and was struck on the passenger side of the vehicle by the 2006 Yamaha YZFR6L operated by Oberdan Magalhaes who did not have time to react to avoid the collision.

Oberdan Magalhaes, was transported to Danbury Hospital for injuries sustained in this collision, police said. This collision is under investigation by the Danbury Police Department’s
