Man Stole Charity Jar From Danbury Gas Station: Police
Police say they saw the man running out of the gas station with the jar in hand.

DANBURY, CT — A local man was arrested on robbery and drug charges after police say he a charity jar from a local gas station Monday, according to police. Officers responding to the Shell gas station on North Street saw Jahun Danzy, 21, running from the store on foot and tracked him down on Rowan Street.
Police say Danzy approached the store clerk with a clenched fist, yelling and swearing at him before he grabbed the jar and ran out of the store. Police say they also found a small bag with marijuana and drug paraphernalia when they searched his person.
Danzy was charged with robbery, larceny, criminal trespassing, interfering/resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana.

He was held on a $5,000 bond.
