In Memory of Doris J. Brought, 87, of Danbury

Danbury, CT — Doris J. Brought, 87, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Robert Brought, Sr., passed away peacefully on June 26, 2016.

Doris was born in Danbury, daughter of the late John and Irene Gilbert. She attended Danbury schools and had worked in the local hatting industry and the former Bard Parker Company, Barden Corporation and served as an aid for special needs children at the Hart Bus Company, prior to retirement.

She was a past member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was a loving and caring person and an avid NY sports fan.She is survived by her son Robert Brought, Jr., and wife Jolene Fako-Brought, her grandchildren Jenna and Connor Fako and her brother John Gilbert and his wife Brenda. She was predeceased by her sisters: Irene and Emma Gilbert, Muriel Gilbert Bradley and Carolyn Morgado.

A gathering of family and friends was held at Green Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hancock Hall for their loving and professional care during Doris' illness.
