New Details In Danbury Sex Trafficking Case: Report

A 20-plus year sex trafficking scheme that targeted young men with mental health issues led to the arrest of three men.

DANBURY, CT — A Westport man may be on his way to a plea deal for his role in a sex trafficking ring that targeted young men with mental health issues, reports the News Times. William Trefzger's attorneys said Tuesday they are expecting to open plea negotiations soon.

Assistant State's Attorney Sharmese Hodge told the publication once analysis of forensic evidence is complete in the state crime lab, negotiations could possibly begin. Trefzger was accused of being a client in Robert King's city-based sex ring.

Trefzger, who was sentenced in 2010 for touching another man in a sexual manner, admitted to his involvement as well as knowing that one of the victims had mental problems that “caused hospitalization,” according to the arrest warrant affidavit.
