Their drive, determination, and kindness make me proud every day. My beautiful granddaughter, full of energy and curiosity, attends school right here in Danbury and continues to brighten our lives with her laughter and love. no

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
City Council at Large

Why are you seeking this office?
I’m running because I truly care about the people who make up our community. This is home for me — it’s where I’ve raised my family, watched my kids grow, and built lasting connections with neighbors and friends. I’ve seen the good in our town, but I’ve also seen where we can do better — whether that’s supporting our schools, helping local businesses thrive, or making sure every resident feels heard and valued. I’m not a career politician; I’m a neighbor who believes that when we work together and look out for one another, we can make this a stronger, safer, and more welcoming place for everyone.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is the rising cost of living and the strain it’s putting on families, seniors, and young people just starting out. Too many of our neighbors are working hard yet still struggling to stay ahead — whether it’s housing, childcare, or everyday expenses. I intend to work on practical solutions that make life more affordable and stable right here at home. That means supporting local job growth, improving access to resources for families and seniors, and making sure our local government is responsive and transparent about how every dollar is spent. My goal is to help create a community where people can not only live — but truly thrive.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
What sets me apart from the other candidates is my genuine connection to this community and my hands-on approach to helping people. I’m not running for a title — I’m running to make a difference. I’ve raised my family here, I care for my mother here, and I see every day what our residents need and deserve. My perspective comes from lived experience, not politics. I believe in listening first, acting with compassion, and finding real solutions that work for everyone — not just a few. I’m approachable, community-minded, and ready to roll up my sleeves to get things done, because at the end of the day, this is about people, not politics.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Beyond affordability, I want to focus on strengthening our neighborhoods and supporting the people who live here. That means improving access to quality education, creating more opportunities for young people to succeed, and ensuring our seniors have the resources and respect they deserve. I also care about supporting small businesses — the ones that keep our local economy strong and give our town its character. Clean, safe streets, better communication between residents and local government, and more community programs for families are all priorities for me. My goal is simple: to help make our town a place where everyone feels connected, supported, and proud to belong.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
One of my greatest accomplishments is raising a strong, compassionate family while staying deeply involved in my community. I’ve raised two wonderful children — one a graduate of WestConn and the other attending UConn — and I’m proud to see them thriving and giving back. I also help care for my mother and granddaughter, which has taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and service to others. In my professional and personal life, I’ve learned how to listen, solve problems, and bring people together. I don’t shy away from challenges — I face them head-on with understanding and determination. Those experiences have prepared me to handle this role with empathy, integrity, and the ability to get things done for the people I serve.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice anyone ever gave me was to lead with your heart, but keep your feet on the ground. It’s a reminder that compassion and common sense go hand in hand. You can care deeply about people and still make practical, responsible decisions. That advice has guided me as a parent, a caregiver, and a community member — to stay humble, listen before speaking, and always do what’s right, even when it’s not easy.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I’d like voters to know that my heart is truly in this community. I’m not running for recognition — I’m running because I care about the people who live here, work here, and raise their families here. I understand the challenges that many of us face because I live them too — balancing family, caring for loved ones, and trying to build a better future for the next generation. I believe in honesty, accountability, and working together to find solutions that make sense for everyone. My promise is simple: to listen, to lead with compassion, and to always put our community first.
