Pedestrian Hit by Car on Maple Avenue

Danbury Police are investigating an accident Tuesday in which a man walking at the corner of Patch Street and Maple Avenue was hit by a car.

 Danbury police received word a person got hit by a car at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. Police said Eulario Vasquez of Balmforth Avenue, Danbury, was crossing Maple Ave. eastbound at Patch Street, when he was struck by a 2005 Mercedes C Class causing serious physical injury. Jack DeCarvalho of Elizabeth Road Danbury, was driving his Mercedes southbound on Maple Avenue, in the left hand lane of travel. DeCarvalho did not see Vasquez as he walked in front of his vehicle. Eulario Vasquez was transported to Danbury Hospital for serious injuries sustained from the collision. Speed was not a factor.
