The News Times was first to report the story. The Greater Danbury area has been the site of two other plane crashes in recent months, one in Danbury and one in New Milford. Both ended in fatalities.

Firefighters used a Ladder Tower to get the plane into a proper position so it could be towed from the runway. The airport briefly shut down, but re-opened soon thereafter.
