
The Danbury Westerners versus the New Bedford Bay Sox. It's Real Baseball, Real Close. The Danbury Westerners are playing the New Bedford Bay Sox in Rogers Park starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday. This will be the only visit by the New Bedford Bay Sox to Rogers Park. The Westerners will be honoring The United Way of Western Connecticut, sponsored by Virtual Density.

"The Bugs of Blackwood by the Sciencetellers," will be performed at 11 a.m. Friday at the Danbury Public Library. Benjamin (the bug) was accidently brought into the house. By using experiments, gas, air pressure, water, chemicals, and more, we'll see if Benjamin's friends can save him before all hope is squashed! For ages 4 1/2-11.
The Ives Concert Park presents, "Connecticut Ballet Fabulous Duets on a Summer Evening," 6 p.m. Friday at the Ives Concert Park. The gates open at 5:30 p.m. TICKETS ARE FREE. From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. - Bring your dancing shoes! Free ballroom dance class with John Vitti of Vitti’s Dance Studio. At 7:30 p.m. will be the main performance. At 9 p.m., meet and greet the cast at the cast party reception. Connecticut Ballet’s sensational dancers perform classical and contemporary duets which will inspire and amaze!
Greater Danbury Area Korean War Veterans Honor the 60th Anniversary of Korean War Armistice. On the 27th of July The Greater Danbury Area Korean War veterans Association Chapter 11 invites everyone to attend a ceremony to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean War armistice. The Rogers Park Monument contains the names of 17 area service members killed in action or who died while in captivity, "Pow/Mia." The average age of is 20. KWVA chapter 11 will also recognize the remaining charter members of chapter 11 with a Medal "welcoming them home" The Korean War is also called, "The Forgotten War." We choose to remember.
The Danbury Summer Concert Series of Music on the CityCenter Green Continues at 7 p.m. Saturday with, "IN HARMONY," Connecticut's premier Oldies/Do Wop Group. Come on down and bring a chair or a blanket, and be reminded of the Good Old Days with songs like, "In the Still of the Night," "Remember Then," "Blue Moon," and "Have you Heard?" In Harmony performed with The Drifters, The Platters, Johnny Meastro and the Brooklyn Bridge as well as at The White House. This is a free concert on the Danbury CityCenter Green.
