
Danbury Police charged Keith MacDonald, 27, Avalon Valley, Danbury, with first-degree threatening, possession of an assault weapon, misuse of the 911 system, falsely reporting an incident and interfering with police at about 11 p.m. Tuesday. Police said MacDonald called the 911 system and complained about the government listening in on phone calls. He threatened to blow up his building. When police arrived at his apartment, MacDonald was intoxicated and he talked to them while holding a beer, police said. A search of the apartment for any bomb turned up a 12-gauge shotgun with a pistol grip and a telescoping stock, which is classified as an assault weapon. He was released on a $10,000 bond for a date in Danbury Superior Court on June 28.
In an unrelated case, Danbury Police charged Brandon Sheehan, 36, Park Lane Road, Danbury, with home invasion, first-degree burglary and second-degree assault on a home invasion incident that occurred on Jan. 26 on Padanaram Road. Four people were charged in that invasion, which arose from a money dispute. Sheehan was released on a $100,000 bond for an appearance scheduled in Danbury Superior Court for June 28.
