Police Release New Info On 'Suspicious' Package Found At Danbury Hospital Parking Garage
A suspicious package found in a Danbury Hospital garage shut down traffic early Thursday morning.
DANBURY, CT — A suspicious package discovered early Thursday in a parking garage at Danbury Hospital was determined to be harmless, according to city police.
Danbury police said hospital security called around 2:46 a.m. Nov. 6 to report a suspicious item in the Rizzo Parking Garage. Officers responded immediately and worked with hospital security, emergency management teams, and state and local partners to secure the area.
Authorities confirmed the package posed no danger. Police said the hospital remained open throughout the incident, and patient care and operations continued without interruption.

Mayor Roberto Alves and the Danbury Police Department thanked hospital staff, emergency teams, and partner agencies for their cooperation and the public for its patience as safety protocols were carried out.
