
"I like Danbury because there is work," said Joe Llspy, who moved to Danbury ten years ago from Ecuador.
Llspy said he earns between $10 and $20 per hour, with the higher wages paid for heavy demolition with a jackhammer.
"I've got work here. In Ecuador I worked in the mines, 16 levels below the ground," he said, spreading his hands to show Kennedy Park and the sunny day. "This is good."
