A Roundup of Darien's Top News this Week
In case you missed something, Darien Patch wants to help you play catch up!

Here's a look at some of the top stories from Darien this week:
It was a somewhat short week (Fourth of July excitement abounded!) In July 4 news, we cautioned you to be safe and know the rules (applicable infor, really, anytime you're thinking about buying fireworks), and if you got a great shot of the show, share it here on Patch. In Business News, two new food options are making a splash in town. Darien's Meatball & Co. finally got the (meat)ball rolling and is serving up some creative and delicious dishes centered around the shop's namesake, and the Noroton Heights Shopping Center is going to the dogs with Franks & Frites moving in and set to open hopefully by mid-July.
In Police news, a pair was arrested for going on a street sign / mailbox smashing spree, with one fo the suspects being found shirtless, having wriggled out of his shirt after a mailbox owner confronted him and grabbed onto it. And in an investigation that is still ongoing, a number of items reportedly stolen out of a Darien home have been recovered in a Norwalk apartment, though police are holding onto the items as the case develops.
