COVID-19 Testing Site In Darien To Close

DARIEN, CT — The state-supported COVID-19 testing site at St. John Catholic Church on the Post Road will close on March 31.

"Demand has really dropped off there," First Selectman Monica McNally said during Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting.

With the influx of home testing kits over the past year, the need for physical testing sites has waned.

McNally noted that just eight people were tested there last week, and recently there were no visitors for two days.

The site opened up at the church in February 2022.
