Darien Physician Opens Pop-Up Practice In New Canaan

Dr. Katie Takayasu recently opened a pop-up practice in New Canaan with plans to open a full-time spot in Darien this fall.

DARIEN, CT — Integrative medicine physician and Darien resident Dr. Katie Takayasu has recently opened a pop-up private practice in New Canaan, at 11 Burtis Ave., Suite 26. She is seeing patients in shared space with Dr. Jennifer Morgan at Centrality Physical Therapy & Wellness.

According to a news release, Takayasu's new practice Wellness Insights "offers a multi-modality approach to true health through" various treatments, such as:

  • Acupuncture
  • Nutrition and Lifestyle Consultations
  • Energy Healing
  • Trigger Point Injections
  • Guided Meditation

"It has always been my dream to be able to practice medicine in such a way as to support wellness for the local community, enjoy a deeper level of care and connection with my patients, and have an even greater impact on their health and well-being," Takayasu said in a news releaae. "I am excited that Wellness Insights will be a space where I can collaborate with other physicians and practitioners to help heal mind, body and spirit in holistic ways."

The practice follows a concierge model. Instead of a copay, there is a fee for services that are out-of-network with insurances along with a modest yearly administrative practice fee.

Takayasu's New Canaan practice will be followed by a move to 745 Post Road in Darien in the fall.
