Darien Releases Revised Road Paving Schedule: Here's What To Know
Minor traffic delays are likely, the town said. Residents are being asked to plan accordingly.
DARIEN, CT — The Town of Darien on Thursday released a revised road paving schedule for the rest of the summer.
Preparatory work will precede paving on all of the roads, the town said in an announcement. Road surfaces will have raised structures during these dates, and there may be inactivity on some roads between milling and paving.
Residents should avoid these roads if possible during these times or use extra caution.

The below schedule is based on favorable weather conditions. Emergency access will be available at all times.
- Little Brook Lane(s) from Raymond Street to end(s) - milling to start Aug. 1, paving to finish Aug. 7.
- Hanson Road from Hollow Tree Ridge Road to Stony Brook Bridge - milling to start Aug. 2, paving to finish Augh. 7.
- Hickory Lane from Deepwood Road to Deepwood Road - milling to start Aug. 2, paving to finish Aug. 8.
- Deepwood Road from Hollow Tree Ridge Road to Laurel Lane - milling to start Aug. 4, paving to finish Aug. 8.
- Laurel Lane from Middlesex Road to Deepwood Road - milling to start Aug. 5, paving to finish Aug. 11.
- Crane Road from Pear Tree Point Road to the end - milling to start Aug. 5, paving to finish Aug. 11.
- Pear Tree Point Road from Long Neck Point Road to Goodwives River Road - milling to start Aug. 7, paving to finish Aug. 13.
- Long Neck Point Road from Pear Tree Point Road to the end - milling to begin Aug. 8, paving to finish Aug. 18.
- Goodwives River Road from Rings End Road to Goodwives Bridge - milling to start Aug. 12, paving to finish Aug. 19.
- Tyler Drive from Colony Road to the end - milling to start Aug. 13, paving to finish Aug. 19.
- Heights South parking from Post 53 to lower lot - milling to start Aug. 14, paving to finish Aug. 15.
- Heights North parking from the Depot to station lot - milling to start Aug. 14, paving to finish Aug. 16.
- Colony Road from Middlesex Road to Middlesex Road - milling to start Aug. 13, paving to finish Aug. 20.
Police officers will be present to direct traffic and assist area residents during construction, according to the town.

Driveway access will be limited during paving operations, however, no single driveway should be closed for more than an hour, the the town noted.
On-street parking will be suspended during paving operations.
