DARIEN, CT — The Post Road at Tokeneke Road has closed due to flooding, according to the Darien Police Department.

Motorists should seek alternate routes and never drive through flooded roadways or fast-moving water, police noted.

Storms and heavy rain were forecast to impact the area Wednesday night.

Rain will taper off going into Thursday, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 p.m., the National Weather Service says.
