New Mascot Costume Proposed As Gift To Holmes Elementary School
The Holmes Parent Teacher Organization has put forward a gift for a new school mascot costume.
DARIEN, CT — The Holmes Hawk at Holmes Elementary School in Darien is poised to get a needed upgrade, as the Board of Education this week will consider the acceptance of a new mascot costume as a gift.
According to the agenda for Tuesday's Board of Education meeting, the current costume "does not have sufficient visibility or comfort to be used on a regular basis."
The Holmes Parent Teacher Organization has put forward a gift for a new "Holmer the Hawk" mascot costume, valued at $2,560.

The costume was manufactured by Hybrid Hare Studios out of Hamden.
"This will be a gift from the Holmes PTO to Holmes School to be used at both PTO and school events," agenda documents noted.

The public portion of Tuesday's Board of Education meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
