Two Charged With DUIs Stemming From Recent Accidents
Mary Midkiff and John McClain III, both of Stamford, are set to appear in court Feb. 15.

netted two suspected drunk drivers last week after investigators obtained arrest warrants in connection with recent car accidents.
Mary Midkiff, 33, of Stamford was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive right stemming from an Oct. 23 crash on Hollow Tree Ridge Road near Wheat Lane.
According to police, Midkiff struck a pole and stone wall that day in her 1997 Volvo 850. The only occupant of the vehicle, she was transported to Norwalk Hospital and treated for her injuries.

Police later obtained a search warrant for a sample of Midkiff's blood, which allegedly contained an alcohol level above the legal limit. A warrant for her arrest was granted Jan. 20.
Midkiff turned herself into Darien Police last week after being notified of the warrant and was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 15.

Meanwhile, John McClain III, 31, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, traveling unreasonably fast for conditions, and failure to use a seatbelt in connection with a Jan. 18 car accident.
According to police, McClain's vehicle wiped out on Middlesex Road at Leroy Avenue around 4:10 a.m. that day. McClain was also transported to Norwalk Hospital for his injures.
Police later obtained a warrant for a sample of McClain's blood, which allegedly contained an alcohol level above the legal limit.
McClain turned himself in Thursday after being notified of a warrant out for his arrest. He was released on a promise to appear in court Feb. 15.
