SMOKE SCARE: The was called to 58 St. Nicholas St. around 5:03 p.m. to respond to a smoke scare. The source was determined to be a burning light fixture at the residence.

WIRES ON FIRE: The NHFD, , and were called to the scene of three separate sets of burning wires on Wednesday: one at Watchtower Road and Point O Woods Road at 8:40 a.m., one at 37 Allwood Rd. at 10:05 a.m., and one at 512 Middlesex Rd. at 10:12 a.m.

CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM: Around 10:38 a.m., a carbon monoxide alarm activation brought the DFD to 63 Dorchester Rd. The cause was determined to be a blockage in the house's chimney.

SMOKE SCARE: A malfunctioning oil burner caused a smoke scare at 37 Raymond St. around 5:00 p.m., bringing the DFD to the scene.

Saturday, Feb. 5

SMOKE SCARE: Around 3:27 p.m., the DFD responded to a smoke scare at 26 Bailey Ave. The source was determined to be overheated ballast.

Sunday, Feb. 6

STRUCTURE FIRE: The DFD, NHFD, and NFD responded to a house fire at 165 Old Kings Highway North around 1:52 a.m. The blaze, which investigators determined to be accidental, began in a bedroom on the second floor of the residence. The exact cause was not known.

GAS ODOR: Around 3:48 p.m., the DFD responded to a reported odor of gas at 142 Brookside Dr. Nothing was found at the site, however.
