Authorities responded to a bear sighting in Durham on Thursday afternoon.
The animal was reported wandering in the area of Maple Avenue near Notre Dame Church.
State police were sent to the area and warn residents to avoid bears if they see one. For more information about bear sightings in Connecticut check out the DEEP website.
