Trailing 53-51 with just 3.8 seconds in the game, Mercy senior Sheena Landy of Durham tossed a half-court pass to teammate Cassie Santoro who found Maria Weselyj open behind the three point line. SWISH!

Weselyj's buzzer-beater lifted the Tigers to the Class LL state championship after three straight defeats in the title game. The victory came in front of 9,800 fans.
