Daily Five: Teacher Evaluation Plan on BOE's Agenda Tonight

1. What's the Weather? Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 71. Tonight: A chance of showers late with a low around 45.

2. BOE Meets Tonight Now that next year's proposed school budget has been sent to referendum, the school board will look to get back to work on other district items.  Tonight's agenda includes a presentation on a teacher and administration evaluation plan, as well as an executive session on teacher non-renewals. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Korn School.

3. Share Your Collection The following is a message from our friends at the Levi E. Coe Library in Middlefield: Do you have a collection you'd like to share? Are you a community group interested in showcasing your work? If so, please contact the Children's Dept. at 860 349-3857 to use the downstairs display case.

4. Spring Clothing Drive It's time to clean out those closets again!! POPS (Parents of Performing students from CRHS) will hold a clothing drive on Saturday, April 27th from 10-2 p.m. and Sunday, April 28th from 11-1 p.m. at the Strong School parking lot. The group will gladly accept all clothes, material, sheets, comforters, belt and shoes. 

POPS is a volunteer parent group who supports and supplements the music department at Coginchaug High School.

5. Summer CSA Shares Available Northfordy Farm, located just over the Durham border in North Branford, is offering a 17-week CSA starting in mid-June through October. The farm grows vegetables, flowers and herbs and raises meat and eggs using sustainable, pesticide-free methods. More details can be found here.
