2. Fajita Fiesta Join the Coginchaug Regional High School Spanish Honor Society Students for the 12th Annual Fajita Fiesta, featuring dinner, live mariachi band, and silent auction. Event starts at 6 p.m. at Coginchaug H.S. Limited tickets are available at the door.

3. Prescription Drug Take Back Durham and Middlefield residents are invited to turn in their unused or expired medication for safe disposal on Saturday from 10-2 p.m. at the Middlefield Resident State Trooper's Office, 405 Main Street, Middlefield.

5. Mother/Daughter Walk The 4th annual Mother/Daughter walk in honor of Mother's Day weekend will take place on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. at Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown. Bring your mother or your daughter (or someone like a mother or daughter to you) and explore the beautiful woods and grounds of Wadsworth Mansion. The group will walk 1 to 2 miles on trails and look for signs of spring, visit the vernal pool (viewing scopes provided) and perhaps even find a letterbox with a hand carved stamp. This is a hike for all women & girls capable of walking 2 miles on a dirt trail with some hills.
