Daily Five: Jack Riotte Wins Outstanding Soloist in Myrtle Beach

Outstanding SoloistΒ Coginchaug High School freshman Jack RiotteΒ earned theΒ "Outstanding Soloist" award at the Fiesta-val Invitational Music Competition in Myrtle Beach,Β South Carolina on April 12. Riotte and more than a hundred classmates traveled to Myrtle Beach for the competition last week. He's a member of the school's jazz band.
"I soloedΒ on a tune called Cut the Cake by the Average White Band and on a tune called The Tiger of San Pedro by John LaBarbera.Β Β IΒ was very happy and proud to be picked for the award," Riotte said.
