2. Interim Principal Named at Coginchaug Durham resident and long-time educator Don Gates was recently named the school's interim principal following the departure of Andre Hauser. Gates served as Portland High School principal for 29 years. He will remain in the position until a new principal is hired, according to superintendent Susan Viccaro.

4. Memorial Day Parade The 2013 Durham Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to step off at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, May 27 at the corner of Haddam Quarter Road and Main Street. If you're participating in the parade you should gather at the corner between 8:15-8:30 a.m.
