Volunteers involved with this year's Old Home Days celebration spent a rainy Friday morning and afternoon setting up for the event.
The biennial celebration begins at 5 p.m. at Peckham Park, where the Middlefield Lions Club will serve food under the pavilion.
Saturday's parade will step off at 9:45 a.m., rain or shine, according to organizers, from Rogers Manufacturing in Rockfall.
Saturday's fireworks display is still tentative but the weather forecast appears to be improving.
