Durham Man Charged In Connection With 'Targeted' Shooting In Middletown
A Durham man has been arrested in connection with shooting incident in Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, CT β A 24-year-old Durham man has been charged in connection with a shooting last month in Middletown.
Middletown police announced the arrest of Carmine Rubino Tuesday. He posted a $100,000 bond in the case and is due for a second court appearance on July, 8, according to judicial system records.
The case dates back to May 22. At 1:22 a.m. that day, a man, later identified by detectives as Rubino, approached the front door of a local residence, knowing that two others were inside, according to an arrest report. Rubino is accused of firing one round through the front door at the pair before fleeing in his vehicle, according to an arrest report. They were near the kitchen at the time, according to case records.

The bullet missed and police termed the incident a "targeted attack," according to an arrest report.
Detectives then served multiple search warrants, connected with witnesses and reviewed surveillance images during the investigation, according to an arrest report.

On June 9, Rubino was picked up on an arrest warrant and charged with two counts of criminal attempt at first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment the unlawful discharge of a firearm and first-degree criminal mischief.
