Durham, Middlefield Unemployment Levels Below State Average
Unemployment has gone down throughout most of 2013.

After hitting high marks in early 2013, the unemployment levels for both Durham and Middlefield have declined.
According to the latest figures released by the Connecticut Department of Labor, Durham's unemployment in November sat at 5 percent while Middlefield's is a bit higher at 5.9 percent.
Statewide, the DOL puts the state unemployment level for non-season jobs at 7.6 percent and, when accounting for seasonal employed, the number is at 6.9 percent.
