Fire Extinguished At Business In Durham
Firefighters from multiple departments extinguished a fire at an industrial building in Durham, according to officials.
DURHAM, CT β Firefighters from multiple departments extinguished a fire at a business in Durham on Saturday night.
WTNH News 8 reported fire crews and Connecticut State Policeβs Troop F responded to Morgan Advanced Materials at 18 Airline Rd. around 10 p.m. on the report of a structure fire.
Officials from the Durham Volunteer Fire Company said crews responded to an automatic fire alarm at the building, and the first arriving firefighter reported heavy fire showing from the roof.

βAt that time the Chief requested Valley Shore Emergency Communications to dispatch a working structure fire which would bring in our mutual aid fire companies,β officials wrote in a post on the Durham Volunteer Fire Companyβs Facebook page. βAfter several hours the fire was brought under control and our mutual aid was released. The fire is still under investigation and no one was injured.β
Durham received assistance from the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company, South Fire District in Middletown, City of Middletown Fire Department, the Wallingford Fire Department, the Killingworth, Haddam, and North Madison Volunteer Fire Companies, and the North Branford, Westfield and Meriden fire departments.
