Firefighters Extinguish Vehicle Blaze In Middlfield

Two vehicles caught fire early Thursday morning, and firefighter worked to prevent the fire from spreading to a home.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT β€” Firefighters limited the spread of a vehicle fire overnight, according to the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company.

Crews were dispatched shortly after 12:30 a.m. Thursday for a vehicle fire. Firefighters found two vehicles on fire with fire extending to an attached garage.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire, limiting damage to the structure to a small portion of the garage, and preventing any damage to the living space of the home.

No one was injured and the fire is being investigated by the Middlefield Fire Marshals Office.
