Garage Goes Up In Flames In Middlefield: Fire Officials

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — A detached garage went up in flames at a School Street home in Middlefield early Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported just after 3 a.m. The Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company responded and quickly brought the blaze under control.

No one was injured.

Local departments that provided assistance included the Durham Volunteer Fire Company, the Westfield Fire Department, Hunter's Ambulance Service, Valley Shore Emergency Communications, and the North Madison Volunteer Fire Company.
