Voter turnout for Tuesday's referendum in Middlefield has been slow, according to poll officials.
As of 10 a.m., 109 voters had cast ballots to decide if the town should sell a nearly 20-acre property to Middlefield resident Lori Vogel-Brown.
The turnout is just 3.4 percent of the town's 3,192 registered voters.
"It's been quiet," said moderator Cathy Hinsch.
Hinsch said only two voters were waiting for the polls to open at 6 a.m. at the Middlefield Community Center. The polls will remain open until 8 p.m.
