Police are asking for help with identifying a man accused of burglarizing the Middlefield Fire Department on Christmas night.

MIDDLEFIELD, CT β Police are asking for help with identifying a man accused of burglarizing the Middlefield Fire Department on Christmas night.
The man, pictured, βgained unauthorized entryβ into the Middlefield Fire Department Apparatus Bay at 406 Jackson Hill Rd. around 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 25, according to Connecticut State Police.
Police said the suspect was wearing a green-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and boots.

The man was captured on surveillance camera βentering the Apparatus Bay through a side door and briefly walks, out of view, behind one of the Middlefield Fire Trucks,β according to police.
Police said the man soon returned into view of the surveillance cameras and exited the building through the same door.

An investigation found that two lime-green Motorola portable radios, etched with the words βMiddlefield Fireβ on the front, were stolen from the Middlefield fire truck that the man walked behind, according to police.
