Middlefield Budget, BOE Seats Up For Vote Tonight

Middlefield voters will consider a $4.6 million town budget, as well as two Board of Education seats and two DMIAAB members tonight.

Middlefield residents are set to vote on the town's proposed $4.6 millionΒ 2013-2014 budget Monday night.Β 

The budget was presented at a public hearing last month and combined with the recently passed school budget would increase the average taxpayer's bill by about $183, according to officials.

The town's annual budget meeting will be held at the Community Center auditorium at 7 p.m.

Voters will consider theΒ following:
1) To act on the Board of Finance proposal for the General Government, Education, Capital Nonrecurring Budgets for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2015;

2)Β To elect two (2) members to serve on the Durham Middlefield Interlocal AgreementΒ Advisory Board for the fiscal year 07/01/2013 through 06/30/2015;

3)Β To elect two (2) members to serve on the Regional District #13 Board of Education for for the fiscal year 07/01/2013 through 06/30/2015.
