State police have identified a Middlefield man found dead Friday evening in Haddam.
John J. Cornaroli, 60, of Hubbard Street, was found unresponsive at the base of a ladder at a home where he was working as a carpenter, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
Cornaroli was last seen alive by a caretaker at the home around 4:30 p.m., although no foul play is suspected, according to police.
An autopsy is expected.
