Police: Students Hurt in Bus Accident in Durham Wednesday Morning
State police are investigating an accident involving a school bus carrying 16 students to Memorial Middle School.

State Police are investigating a school bus accident in Durham Wednesday morning.
According to police, 16 students from Memorial Middle School in Middlefield were on the bus when the driver went off the road along Route 147 near Briarwood Lane.

The accident happened shortly after 8 a.m.
Some of the students received minor injuries and were treated at the school by a nurse.Β One of the students complained of a headache and was sent home, according to Superintendent Susan Viccaro.

Viccaro said she was at the school after the accident, along with State Police and Middlefield Police.Β
Police said the bus driver, an employee of DATTCO, did not stop after the accident and drove the bus to the school.Β It is not clear if the driver will face any charges.
