Rhode Island Pumpkin Grower Sets World Record With 2,009 Pound Pumpkin

Ronnie Wallace set the Durham Fair record on Sept. 26 and just two days later delivered the largest pumpkin ever grown to the Topsfield Fair in Massachusetts.

Ronnie Wallace, a renowned giant pumpkin grower from Greene, Rhode Island, has set a new world record.

Wallace, who captured the Durham Fair's heaviest pumpkin title this year with a 1,604 pound pumpkin, brought an even heavier gourd to this year's Topsfield Fair in Massachusetts.

Patch spoke to Wallace shortly after his weigh-in in Durham and asked whether rumors about an even bigger pumpkin were true.
