Senator Len Fasano To Receive Football Foundation High Honor
The award will be presented to Fasano, who represents East Haven, North Haven, Wallingford and Durham on March 29

State Senator Len Fasano has been selected to receive the Distinguished American Award from the Casey-O'Brien New Haven County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
Fasano has served as Connecticut State Senator representing East Haven and Wallingford along with parts of North Haven and Durham in the 34th Senate District since 2003 and has served as leader of the Senate Republican Caucus since 2014.
The award will be presented at the 59th Scholar Athlete awards dinner on Friday March 29 at Fantasia Banquet Facility 404 Washington Avenue North Haven.

Also being honored will be 29 high school and prep school athletes for their academic excellence, leadership and citizenship. Other award winners include Al Carbone, Commissioner of the Southern Connecticut Conference who will recive the Chapter Award of Merit, John Ferrazzi, Coach of the Year from Sheehan High School and Scott Kelly long time football official who will receive the Official Recognition Award.
"We are pleased to recognize Len Fasano at this years dinner,” said Bill O'Brien president of the Football Foundation chapter. "Len was a chapter scholar athlete when he graduated from Hamden Hall in 1977, and then went on to Letter for Hall of Fame Coach Carm Cozza at Yale before graduating in 1981.”

O'Brien added, "He has championed bipartisan politics to benefit taxpayers, promote fiscal stability and protect core services for the most vulnerable. He also recently developed a first-in-the-nation legislation to make perscription drugs more affordatble and bring transparency to health care.”
