State police are planning to step up weekend patrols in Durham following an incident in town last weekend.

Police responded to a home on Fowler Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Friday night, where they found a crowd of about 40 young people gathered around a bon fire.

Although police broke up the party without making any arrests or handing out any citations, police suspect the incident involved underage drinking, according to Sgt. Sal Calvo.
