Truck Found Submerged In Middlefield Pond

MIDDLEFIELD, CT — Firefighters found a truck submerged in Black Pond in Middlefield on Tuesday that is suspected to be stolen. Crews arrived at 677 Meriden Road, the boat launch at Black Pond, at 10:05 p.m., according to a Middlefield Volunteer Fire Company statement.

Firefighters entered the water and searched for any occupants. They did not find any occupants, and the vehicle was later identified as being stolen.

DEEP Encon police and Connecticut State police are investigating
