William Kent's Artwork to be Displayed at NYC's Museum of Sex
The late-Durham artist's erotic prints and sculptures will be exhibited April 4-July 14 while a sale of his work continues at his studio in Durham.
William Kent's artwork will go on display next month at New York City's Museum of Sex.
The Durham artist, who died last August at the age of 93, spent decades creating a massive collection of slate prints and wood sculptures, some of which has been called "provocative" and "sexual."

Some of the erotic pieces will be exhibited at the museum located at 233 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan from April 4 through July 14.
Joan Baer, who has served as curator of the collection since Kent's death, has provided guided tours of the late-artist's home studio at 269 Howd Road in Durham.

A sale of Kent's artwork will continue until the collection is moved to a new location in Middlefield. Visitors are welcome to stop by on weekends from 12-3 p.m. or by appointment.
