Your Take: Will an Elephant Boycott Impact Durham Fair Vendors?

There's been plenty of buzz surrounding the Durham Fair Association's decision to host the Elephant Encounter act at this year's fair.

Last week, elephant supporters attempted to convince fair members to reverse course and cancel the show which some consider cruel to the animals. But in a 59-12 vote, fair members voted to keep the act. 

Now, there's growing concern over what impact the decision might have on vendors, particularly many of the local, non-profit groups that rely on the four-day event for the bulk of their fundraising.
