The Durham Recreation Department and the Coginchaug football staff will offer two youth football clinics the week of July 22nd.

The “Little Devils” clinic is for players entering 3rd through 6th grade.  Players will learn the game’s fundamentals and every player will be taught the basics of blocking, tackling, ball carrying, pass catching and pass defense.  The clinic will be staffed by the Coginchaug freshmen football coaches and varsity football players.  The clinic runs July 23rd, 24th and 25th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Registration fee is $25.

The “Varsity Plus” clinic is for players entering the 7th, 8th and 9th grades.  It is a full contact clinic run by the Coginchaug Varsity football coaches.  Players will receive the advanced instruction that will give them an edge in their upcoming seasons.  The clinic will feature individual skill sessions and team periods where players will learn the same techniques and schemes used by the Coginchaug varsity football team.  The clinic runs July 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM.  Registration fee is $60. Durham-Middlefield Youth Football will issue equipment to any player enrolled for its fall season so they can attend the clinic.
