• Thief Recklessly Fled From Police In I-95 Chase, East Lyme Police Say (patch.com) — East Lyme police report that a man accused of stealing more than $700 in merchandise from the Walgreens on Flanders Road later led officers on a reckless chase onto I-95. The suspect, from New Britain, was eventually identified through related investigations and arrested. He now faces larceny and multiple driving charges, with police stressing shoplifting’s impact on local businesses.
   

• Man Stalked, Threatened Victim Who Had No Connection To Him, East Lyme Police Say (patch.com) — East Lyme police say a man was arrested after allegedly stalking and threatening a resident on Fairhaven Road, despite having no prior connection to the victim. Officers report he repeatedly waited outside the victim’s home and later confronted him while carrying a wooden baton. The suspect, a Niantic resident, faces multiple charges and is being held on a substantial bond.
