Video: Humane Society's Pets Of The Week

Rita the dog, Snuffles the cat and Bubba the ferret are looking for new homes.

If you're looking for a pet, drop into the  and have a look around. They have dogs, cats and the occasional small animal. 

The animal shelter is located at 169 Old Colchester Road and is open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dog adopt hours begin at 10:30 a.m. The phone number is 860-442-8583.

Rita is a Coonhound mix female dog and is 2.5-years-old. Rita is friendly and would do well in an active home with children 6-years-old and beyond.

Snuffles is male cat with thick, short hair and is approximately 2-years-old. Snuffles has a bashful yet affectionate personality.

Bubba is white, male ferret who is low-key but ready for mischief and adventure if allowed. Bubba is 4-years-old.
