“I want to thank James for his service to our community,” Balter said Wednesday. “He has been a fearless advocate for us in Hartford and has always put the needs of his constituents first. This is a critical time in our town and state and I am running because I know that I can expand on James great work and be the Representative we need.
'Through my twenty years serving in the Navy, then advocating for working families as an attorney, and work with local groups in the community, I have always been committed to helping others. We need elected officials in Hartford who will prioritize the needs of everyday people over politics and that will be how I serve if elected. I will be a Representative for the people and not special interests.”
Balter is an attorney who lives in East Haven with his wife Lisa, they have four kids and two grandchildren who go to East Haven public schools. He is a member of the East Haven Chamber of Commerce. As a retired Navy Corpsman and combat vet, Balter is involved with many veterans’ groups such as the VFW and is the Chairman of the Annual Veteran’s Luncheon.
