NEW HAVEN, CT — Denise Lucibello, 55, of East Haven, now faces an additional charge of second-degree manslaughter, in connection with the June 2024 death of Department of Transportation Employee Andrew DiDomenico, announced New Haven Judicial District State's Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr.

Lucibello already faces charges of misconduct with a motor vehicle, driving under the influence, illegal operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to drive in proper lane, and failure to slow down/move over for a non-emergency vehicle in connection with the June 28 death of DiDomenico, who was fatally struck while working on the Wharton Brook Connector in Wallingford, officials said.

At the time of the defendant’s July 1 arraignment on the previous charges, the New Haven State’s Attorney’s Office said it was awaiting results from a Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s (DESPP) investigation of the crash to determine whether additional charges would be filed against the defendant.
