Monday, she appeared in Meriden Superior Court to face charges in connection with the death of DiDomenico. At the hearing, the judge set bond at $500,000. The charges against the defendant are merely accusations and she is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law, Doyle said.
The Connecticut State Police and the Connecticut State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad, both of the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP), are continuing to investigate the fatality.
“Today, I join with the entire Division of Criminal Justice and all state employees in expressing our deepest condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of Mr. DiDomenico," Doyle wrote. "Please join us in support of his family and friends and all Department of Transportation employees at this difficult time.”
Connecticut State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dashboard camera footage, to contact Trooper Daniel McCue of Troop I at 203-393-4200 or by email at daniel.mccue@ct.gov.
